Turkey Government Scholarship 2026 – Bsc/Msc/PhD: The Turkey Government Scholarships Program has started receiving applications for 2026. The program offers a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at leading universities in Turkey.

Program Description -Turkish Government Scholarships 2026

Türkiye Scholarships is a government-funded scholarship program that is awarded to outstanding students and researchers. 

It provides international students with the opportunity to pursue full-time or short-term programs at the top universities in Türkiye. 

The program is designed to support undergraduate, master’s, and PhD studies while promoting cultural exchange and academic excellence through world-class education in Turkey.

The program aims to build a network of future leaders committed to strengthening cooperation among countries and mutual understanding among societies.

Qualifications for the Turkey Government Scholarship 

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Level of Academic Performance

  • For Bachelor’s degree applicants: Minimum of 70% 
  • For Master’s & PhD applicants: Minimum of 75% 
  • For Health Science applicants (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): Minimum of 90%

Age Requirements

  • Under 21 years old for bachelor’s degree programs.
  • For master’s programs: under 30 years old
  • Being under 35 is a requirement for PhD programs.
  • Being under 50 is a requirement for the Research Scholarship. 

Eligible Applicants or Groups:

  • Citizens from every nation
  • Graduates or those scheduled to graduate before August at the end of the current academic year
  • Scholars and researchers

Groups Not Eligible:

  • Turkish nationals and those who are no longer Turkish
  • People who are currently enrolled in educational programs at Turkish universities will apply.

Application Process

  • Firstly, review the academic, age, and nationality requirements carefully before starting your application.
  • Go to the official Turkey Government Scholarships application portal and create a personal account on the Turkeye Scholarships application system
  • Gather all necessary documents, such as transcripts, certificates, a passport, a motivation letter, etc
  • Fill out the application form and list your dream university and program  preference
  • Upload All Documents, ensure they’re clear, correct, and uploaded in the required format. It will also be beneficial for you to include your extracurricular activities and achievements in different fields
  • Write an original letter of intent explaining your preference, expectation, and goals for the future
  • Double-check all information to avoid mistakes or missing details. 
  • After reviewing all the stages and documents, submit the application early to avoid last-minute technical issues. 
  • Wait for Evaluation and Results. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for interviews or further steps

  • A valid identity document, ID card, or passport 
  • A photograph of the candidate taken within the last 1 year 
  • National exam results (if any) 
  • Diploma or temporary graduation certificate 
  • Transcript 
  • International exam results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) if required 
  • International language test results, such as TOEFL, DELF (if required) 
  • A proposal for a research topic (only for PhD applications)
