Postdoctoral Research Associate in Water Resources: South Dakota State University (SDSU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Water Resources. Position Overview – Postdoctoral Research Associate in Water Resources

The successful candidate will join Dr. Sushant Mehan’s Water Resources Lab to conduct advanced research on water quality, soil and water chemistry, and sustainable resource practices. This position provides hands-on experience in laboratory work, field sampling, and high-level data modeling.

Essential Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Water Resources or related discipline
  • Expertise in numerical modeling of water resources
  • Field experience in water sample collection (streams, lakes, field outlets)
  • Strong background in soil and water chemistry (N, P) with lab skills in AA analyzer, fluorometer, and spectrophotometer
  • Knowledge of sensors (LAI, soil moisture) and lab maintenance
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must currently reside in the U.S. with a valid work visa (no sponsorship available)
  • Passion for advancing sustainable water management
