Position Description – PhD Scholarship in Nursing
Selected students for the PhD program will join the Harm Reduction Research Lab as research trainees, and work on Opioid Overdose Prevention, BBI Prevention and Elimination, and community-based participatory Research
The role of the students includes:
- Designing and evaluating strategies that reduce overdose risk, studying community naloxone programs, and assessing the impact of new harm reduction policies.
- Conducting research aimed at decreasing HIV and Hepatitis C transmission among people who use drugs and improving access to testing, treatment, and prevention resources.
- Partnering with affected communities to build equitable studies that reflect lived experience.
- Working with qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze trends, evaluate interventions, and publish findings.
- Supporting real-world harm reduction programs and translating research into actions that improve health outcomes.
Qualifications for Admission
