PhD Research Training On Migration and Urban Inequalities: A funded European PhD programme is currently seeking out doctoral researchers to work on MITIME in September 2026. Program Description – PhD Research Training On Migration and Urban Inequalities
MITIME is a doctoral training programme (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions) financed by the European Union. It dwells on the interpretation of the intersection of migration with time and urban inequalities in different European settings.
The research agenda of MITIME is based on the dynamic manifestations of migration processes and how temporal formation contributes to inequality in cities. The doctoral projects will explore the 15 different positions available, and carryout research closely under the program’s specified supervisors.
The recruited researchers will also be attracted as full members of a global research network and hired as full-time Doctoral Researchers with 36-month contracts. They will all be pursuing a PhD programme in one of seven partner universities in Belgium, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkiye.

Qualifications For Fully Funded PhD Research Training On Migration and Urban Inequalities
Applicants must:
- Hold, or be nearing the completion of, a Master’s degree in a field such as Migration Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Urban Studies, Social Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, or any other related fields of study.
- Show high motivation in Migration and urban research, Interdisciplinary collaboration and Work in international research settings.
- Should be mentally inquisitive, team players, and should be mobile across nations and industries.
