Qualification For PhD Opportunities In Sustainable & Intelligent Energy Systems
Ideal applicants will have an academic background and technical skill set aligned with systems-level research.
- Possess a BSC Degree in Energy/Chemical/Mechanical Systems Engineering.
- Should possess excellent experience in optimization and energy systems analysis.
- Knowledge in GAMS, Python, Julia (preferably), or MATLAB.
- There should be excellent English communication skills of the candidates.
- Inspiration towards autonomous and joint studies.

About the Supervisor: Dr. Zuming Liu
Dr. Zuming Liu is an Assistant Professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the leader of the Smart Energy Laboratory. In 2019, he received a PhD at the National University of Singapore, after receiving a Master of Science at Tianjin University.
The research objective of Dr. Liu is to come up with superior modeling and optimization systems aimed at solving the urgent problems in energy transition. His contributions lie in between theory and practice, and place a particular focus on computational optimization, energy systems.
