MSc Scholarship In Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy & Programming: The MSc SRHPP scholarship program is primarily intended for individuals who are interested in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based sexual and reproductive health programs and policies.

Why Pursue this MSc Opportunity?

Financial support: This opportunity is fully funded, aimed at enhancing sexual and reproductive health in sub-Saharan Africa. The scholarship will pay for the whole tuition costs at GBP 17,850.00, the LSHTM low- and middle-income country fee rate; and a one-time payment of GBP 1,000.00 for internet, IT equipment, and other educational expenses. 

Mentorship and Student Support: Candidates will be provided with mentorship and support features, which include a personal tutor and a mentorship programme.

Jointly Hosted: The program is hosted by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the University of Ghana School of Public Health (UGSPH). 

Program Description – MSc Scholarship In Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy & Programming

  • MSc Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy & Programming (MSc SRHPP) is a 12-month, full-time, intensive online master’s program.
  • Designed for professionals working in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) or related health fields.
  • Focuses on building practical skills in SRH policy and programming.
  • Particularly relevant to sub-Saharan Africa and other low- and middle-income countries.
  • The 2026–27 MSc SRHPP Scholarship Programme is hosted by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in partnership with the University of Ghana School of Public Health.
  • Aims to equip graduates to translate research into impactful health interventions in eligible countries.
  • Provides skills to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based SRH policies and programs.
  • Preference is given to applicants who are citizens of or resident in:
    Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Botswana, Guinea-Bissau, DRC, and Benin.

Qualifications for MSc In SRHPP

To be eligible for the MSc SRHPP, applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be a national of and ordinarily resident in a sub-Saharan African country 
  • Applicants must have submitted an application to the online MSc SRHPP and provided all required documents 
  • Have worked in SRH or any other health-related field in sub-Saharan Africa for a minimum of two years 
  • Also notes that for some scholarships, preference may be given to applicants from a specified list of countries.

Applying for the MSc SRHPP scholarship involves two steps:

Step 1: Submit an application to be admitted to the MSc SRHPP

  • Applicants must first submit the necessary paperwork and apply for the MSc SRHPP through LSHTM’s official admissions process.
  • Step 2: Use the LSHTM Scholarships Portal to apply for the scholarship.
  • The Scholarships team will automatically send an email with access to the scholarships portal after candidates submit their application.
  • Before submitting an application, candidates are expected to confirm that they are able to meet the IT requirements and information for this program of study. Students can utilize this allowance for other educational expenses if they don’t need IT support or expenses.
