FuSEP Summer Research Program 2026 in China (Fully Funded): The Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) is a great opportunity for international students. It allows students to participate in cutting-edge scientific and technological research.

Application for the FuSEP Summer Research Program 2026 is currently ongoing. The program, which is hosted by the University of Science and Technology of China, provides complete assistance for all living expenses and tuition.

International undergraduate and graduate students from all countries are welcome to participate in this program. 

Participants in the Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) will collaborate with a USTC supervisor on a research project. At the end, students will create and present a research report.

Program description – FuSEP Summer Research Program in China

The FuSEP Summer Research Program provides an unparalleled chance for international students to conduct advanced research in science and technology. The program is hosted by China’s University of Science and Technology, and provides complete assistance for all tuition and living expenses.

The program runs for five weeks. During this period, candidates will collaborate with great young scientists, working together to address global concerns using USTC’s top-tier research teams, cutting-edge research facilities, and world-class laboratories. 

Participants have the opportunity to conduct research across a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Materials Science

Qualifications for the Research Program

Participants of the FuSEP must meet the following criteria:

  • For this research initiative, candidates can be from any nation. 
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time at their home university as undergraduate or graduate students while attending USTC. 
  • Before starting this program, applicants must have completed two years or more of undergraduate coursework in the applicable major. 
  • Applicants must possess exceptional academic credentials, promise, and a passion for research. 
  • Candidates need to be highly proficient in the English language.
