CQU scholarships are geared towards assisting students overcome financial barriers and recognize outstanding achievements. Each year, CQUniversity provides financial support to thousands of students through various scholarship programs.

Whether you’re starting your first degree, continuing your studies, or coming from overseas, CQU has options that can reduce your educational costs and enhance your university experience. Along with relieving financial burden, scholarships honor academic excellence, community service, and personal situations that could otherwise restrict access to college.

Current Application Round

  • Term 1, 2025 CQU Scholarships Open now, bursaries conclude on Friday, June 6, 2025.  For a comprehensive list of bursaries accessible, go visit the Scholarships page.
  • Term 2, 2025 Applications for scholarships open Tuesday, the sixth May 2025 at 10 a.m. and close Monday, the second June 2025.

CQU Scholarships That Are Currently Available

CQU presents 41 scholarships in several categories right now. These scholarships aim at various student groups and purposes.

Scholarships from Outside Universities

To provide scholarships ranging from $5000 to fund higher education, external companies join with CQU offering the 2025 PMI Scholarship, LOOV Organic Scholarship, and Jade Finance Scholarship. Beyond help provided by universities, these outside collaborations open other possibilities.

While government programs like the Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) help regional students move to higher education, industry ties offer possibilities like Going Rural North and the Larsen Jewellery Scholarship.

Generous sponsors of scholarships include the CQUniCares Emergency Grant and the LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarship help students at several levels of study through unanticipated financial difficulty.

HEPPP-funded Scholarships

The Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program funds the CQUniCares Study Resource Bursary, designed to improve access for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

ISSP-funded Scholarships

The Indigenous Student Success Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through the Dare to be Deadly series of bursaries, covering residential school attendance, technology needs, and professional registration costs.
