Chevening Scholarship 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Chevening scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be citizens of the Chevening-eligible countries
- Must have finished their undergraduate degree program
- Must be enrolling on a master’s program
- Must have an approximate work experience of 2 years after graduating from an undergraduate degree.
- Applicants must be ready to relocate to the UK for their master’s program
- They must commit to returning to their home country after their scholarship ends, for at least two years.
- Candidates must apply to three different master’s courses that are full-time at the University.

- Applicants who do not hold refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country
- Current employees, former employees, or relatives of an employee of His Majesty’s Government cannot apply. This also includes anyone who held such a position in the last two years before Chevening applications start.
